This month, Governor McGreevey signed a law that requires all schools in the state to reduce the amount and severity of pesticides used on school property. The idea is to minimize the exposure of the state's most vulnerable residents to toxins. So far, 87 governments and school districts across the state have adopted such plans. Now all public schools have until June to begin using the most environmentally friendly strategies first in the battle against indoor and outdoor pests.
